Our Story

David Welch founded the company in October 2010 to explore the challenges and opportunities offered within the infrastructure world. The business started its venture by providing products and services to the railway industry, initially supplying SpikeFast (ET-75), a WVCO Patented product from the USA.
SpikeFast is a cold-applied Polyurethane which provides an innovative, reliable life extension to the wooden sleeper. The variant to this product is a lower viscosity material ES-50 which is used to provide life extension to longitudinal bridge timbers, which was approved by London underground and has been a major asset to its old and tired infrastructure.

As we developed the business, we invested in trial volumes of other concrete surface repair materials and perfected the installation of the products using exhausting test sites. The company has developed the world of Polyurethanes, Acrylics, and Amino plastic fillers for both structural and void filling works.
We continually invest in our people, training and developing an ongoing culture within the business for each discipline. We support our personnel with work, education and qualifications, as well as providing ongoing assessments regarding welfare, mental health and safety, which are paramount to our success and future.

In 2017, we acquired a resin injection business for its technology and continued investment to provide a reliable solution for ground stabilisation through the use of injection Polyurethane resins. After an exhausting research program to review the technology of our investment, it was apparent that whilst we had proved how to offer the most reliable solution available to the market, we required financial stability to continue our business plan.
We decided to relocate and restructure the business to ensure the company met efficiencies and reliability to ensure we could continue with client expectations. DWG is currently in its strongest financial position and is gaining market share through its innovation, reliability and people.
